Fredonia Mountain Bike Club is made up of local volunteers.  We have organized to ensure continued allowable MTB travel on trails now open for our use.  This is attainable by assuring that these trails meet IMBA standards for sustainable multi-use trails and that acceptable maintenance schedules are met through trail workdays.  Where poor trail conditions dictate, we will make trail upgrade proposals to land managers. 

We are also here to investigate other trail corridor location possibilities: be it private land, public land, or both.  For locations that would support a sustainable trail system, we will make formal proposals to land managers.

Another main focus is simply to upgrade awareness of the great local cycling environment and promote ethical trail use (be good role models).  We will also indicate to local businesses and political leaders the great benefits that increased tourism dollars from trail use can bring to a small local economy.  So please come enjoy the outdoors, get some exercise & become involved in your community.

We will be providing info for all nearby areas including, but not limited to, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Erie and Allegany counties.  Included also will be more distant hotspots: Erie, PA, Ithaca, NY, Catskills, Adirondacks, Etc.
